Ian W. R. Martin (LSE Finance and FMG) and co-author Ran Shi (University of Colorado Boulder) have received the 2024 Jack Treynor Prize for their paper Forecasting Crashes with a Smile.
The Q Group's annual Jack Treynor prize is in its tenth edition this year, and recognizes superior academic working papers with potential applications in the fields of investment management and financial markets.
Each year, Q awards three prizes for prepublication working papers produced by post-doctoral researchers who are employed full-time by academic institutions.
